Child Care Training

Through the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Pathways Program, newcomer women gain child care training with a trauma-informed approach. Participants receive Responsible Adult, Food Safe, and First Aid certifications, and develop advanced English and pre-employment skills.

Highlights

  • 44 graduates of ECE Pathways (Responsible Adult training with English component)

  • 28 childcare staff delivered professional service at 22 events (900+ hours of service for 174 children)

  • 16 Early Childhood Education Assistants got hired before graduation.

  • Ongoing industry partnerships with Work BC, Mosaic, and Kiwassa Neighbourhood House to support the program.
