Child Care Training
Through the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Pathways Program, newcomer women gain child care training with a trauma-informed approach. Participants receive Responsible Adult, Food Safe, and First Aid certifications, and develop advanced English and pre-employment skills.
44 graduates of ECE Pathways (Responsible Adult training with English component)
28 childcare staff delivered professional service at 22 events (900+ hours of service for 174 children)
16 Early Childhood Education Assistants got hired before graduation.
Ongoing industry partnerships with Work BC, Mosaic, and Kiwassa Neighbourhood House to support the program.
“I just want to say thank you. It’s an unforgettable program. I never had a class so lovely. We all cared about each other. All the teachers, instructors, and workers were very helpful.”
